Two employees of Divis Laboratories were hospitalised after inhaling chemical fumes in the early hours of Friday (Octoberr 17), here under Bheemunipatnam Police Station limits. The incident took place while they were collecting samples of the chemical.
According to preliminary investigation, Inspector of Bheemunipatnam Police Station Tirumala Rao stated that the technicians were handling nitropyridine when they began to feel unwell. He added that the duo was given first aid at the site and later shifted to a private hospital for further treatment. The Inspector confirmed that both employees are now stable and are expected to be discharged by the afternoon.
